Emmanuel Christian University
Emmanuel Christian University (ECU), one of the nation’s developing premier learning institutions, is 120 Miles west of Juba, located on the lush green lands of South Sudan in Goli, Tore Payam, Yei River County in Central Equatoria State.
Emmanuel Christian University (ECU) is an institution of transformative learning where academic excellence is combined with a holistic development of the learner based on the Biblical perspective of life. ECU was established in 2001 by Open Doors Africa Services in partnership with the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) to create a holistic church and society in South Sudan and beyond through transformative education.
Today we have gathered to celebrate the transition of Emmanuel Christian College to Emmanuel Christian University and 16th Graduation as an institution. But as we have transitioned to Emmanuel Christian University, this beautiful young men and women seated before us here are the first to graduate as the first batch of Emmanuel Christian University.
This change of name is another stage of metamorphosis in the history of this institution which started in 2001 as Emmanuel Christian Training Centre (ECTC). In 2010 we changed to Emmanuel Christian College and Today WE ARE EMMANUEL CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY. I joined this institution since 2004 and it is a privilege and honour to witness all this transition process.

Currently Emmanuel Christian University offers the following programs;
Our Bachelor programs that provide comprehensive education for professional and academic excellence. Our rigorous curriculum, experienced faculty, and supportive environment prepare students for success in fields like theology and business.
Our Diploma programs blend theoretical knowledge with practical skills to meet industry demands. Perfect for enhancing expertise or career transitions, these programs offer hands-on experience in disciplines such as education, theology, business, and leadership.
Certificate programs at Emmanuel Christian University offer foundational knowledge and skills for career enhancement or exploration. These focused, intensive programs cover fields like theology, business administration, education, leadership, management, and ICT.
ECU works in partnership with various organizations, churches, institutions and individuals to train and equip students in South Sudan and beyond. We are excited to have you partner with us as we endeavor to achieve our mission to create a holistic church and society in South Sudan and beyond through transformative education, equipping godly men and women to develop sustainable communities. It is our desire that these trained leaders will transform this nation into a land of peace and prosperity.
We are thankful for all our partners (Iteams Netherlands, Iteams Canada, Swiss Mission Fellowship, 1 Chronicles, Coworkers and the local churches) and other organizations such as Aramaic Relief, Kinder In Not and the Ministry of Higher Education Science and Technology.
