Agriculture

Emmanuel Christian University has several projects to reach out and empower communities. The University provides services through these projects that help to empower the surrounding community as well as impact the nation especially through provision of basic education, health, farming and hospitality services.

Agriculture

The project is the College’s initiative to promote self-reliance by producing food locally for students’ consumption and to empower the local communities with Biblical principles of farming in order to enhance food production. ECU has farm land of 250 hectares of which 70 hectares has been made useful for crop production.

This year and in preparation for the University to return to the main campus ECU after a forced break of production due to insecurity, has taken up the coffee demonstration farm initiative which has been planted within and around the campus to a higher success level.

The cattle make one of the major elements of the ECU farm. Currently ECU has more than 75 head of cattle contributing successful to the organic farming as well as milk and meet supply.
